Tourist Attraction Recommendation Report

Updated 4 Oct 2026

TO: Peanuts Family
FROM: Nonprawich I.
DATE: October 28, 2025
SUBJECT: Tourist Attraction Recommendation

Introduction

The purpose of this report is to recommend where the Peanut Family should go on our upcoming Chiang Mai trip. Most travel plans available online are outdated and not personalized to our group, so I have created a plan specifically for Day 4 — deciding whether to visit Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail or Wat Phra Singh.

To determine which destination is most suitable, I developed the following criteria:

  1. Safety
  2. Enjoyment
  3. Cost

Recommendation

I recommend that the Peanut Family visit Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail.
First, it is easy to reach via local transportation. Second, the trail offers a fun and relaxing nature experience suitable for everyone in the group. Third, the overall cost of visiting Kew Mae Pan is lower compared to visiting Wat Phra Singh.

Scope

Panpan, the CEO of Peanut Gang, has suggested that safety should be our top priority when choosing a destination. Safety is essential when traveling in a mountain-based province, especially since we are going without our parents.

Enjoyment is our second criterion. We want to visit a place where everyone can relax and have fun together, rather than following a traditional tourist route.

Finally, cost is our third criterion. To make sure the trip stays within budget, Panpan has set a limit of 10,000 THB per person for the entire trip.

The remainder of this report will compare both locations based on these three criteria.

Discussion

Safety

A destination we visit must:

  1. Be well-known and reputable.
  2. Have safe and reliable transportation access.
  3. Maintain proper safety regulations.

Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail

  • Well-known among tourists and locals, ensuring we won’t be the only group there.
  • Railings are installed along the walkway to reduce slipping risks.
  • A local guide is required for every group, ensuring safety through expert supervision.

Wat Phra Singh

  • Located in the city and well-known among tourists.
  • Safe and easy to reach via public transportation.
  • However, the temple area is not tightly controlled, and there have been recent reports of pickpocketing near popular temples in Chiang Mai.

Conclusion:
While both destinations are relatively safe, Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail provides a more organized and regulated environment with a lower risk of safety issues, making it the safer choice.

Enjoyment

The destination should allow the Peanut Family to enjoy themselves and make meaningful memories together.

Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail

  • Offers stunning mountain views, a refreshing climate, and opportunities for group photos and light hiking.
  • Encourages teamwork and bonding as we walk together through the trail.
  • Ideal for those who love nature and a bit of adventure.

Wat Phra Singh

  • Offers cultural and historical beauty for those interested in temple architecture.
  • However, activities are limited mainly to sightseeing, which might not engage everyone equally.

Conclusion:
For a group like ours that enjoys exploration and shared experiences, Kew Mae Pan offers a more enjoyable and dynamic experience than Wat Phra Singh.

Cost

Each person’s budget should not exceed 10,000 THB for the 6-day trip (approximately 2,000 THB per day).

Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail — Estimated Cost per Person

ItemCost (THB)
Transportation500
Entrance Fee100
Hotel1,000
Total1,600 THB

Wat Phra Singh — Estimated Cost per Person

ItemCost (THB)
Transportation100
Food1,000
Hotel1,000
Total2,100 THB

Conclusion:
While transportation to Wat Phra Singh is cheaper, the overall expenses, especially food and lodging in the city, make it more costly. Therefore, Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail is the more budget-friendly option.
