DEC

• The DEC (Decrement) instruction is used to decrease the value in a General Purpose Register (Rd) by one.

Instruction Syntax

DEC Rd

• Rd: The register whose value will be decreased by one.
  • Must be one of the 32 general-purpose registers: R0–R31.

Example

Valid Instruction:

DEC R10

• R10: R10 is valid since it is within the register range R0–R31.
• Effect: Decrease the value in R10 by one and store the result in R10.
